SE Budget ("the app") helps self-employed people track income, business costs and home costs. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can remove it.
SE Budget is developed and operated by an individual developer, contactable at arifdub@gmail.com. That's who you reach for any question about this policy or your data.
SE Budget works fully without signing in. In that case, everything you enter — your entries, categories, recurring rules and targets — is stored only in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It never reaches us, and we have no way to see it.
Signing in (with an email and password, or with Google) lets your data sync across your own devices. Creating an account sends the following to our database provider, Supabase, associated with your account:
This data exists to make the app work for you — showing your own totals and reports, and keeping your own entries in sync between your own devices. It is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to profile you.
If you use the "Send feedback" button in Settings, your message — and, only if you choose to include one, a reply-to email address — is sent directly to the developer's inbox via Resend, an email delivery service. It is not stored in the app's database and is not linked to your account.
The app may ask, on first visit, whether you're willing to allow Google Analytics so the developer can see roughly how many people use the app. It only loads if you tap "Allow" — declining means nothing loads at all. When enabled, IP addresses are anonymized, and no entry data, category names, or amounts are ever included — Google only ever sees that a visit happened, not what you did in the app.
The "Buy the developer a coffee" button opens a payment page hosted entirely by SumUp, a separate payment provider, in a new browser tab. The app never sees, collects, or stores any payment or card details — that page is entirely outside the app and governed by SumUp's own privacy policy.
Your entries and settings are never sold, rented, or shared with any other party, and are never used for advertising.
The database enforces, at the database level, that a signed-in account can only ever read or write its own entries and settings — not any other user's, regardless of what the app itself does.
SE Budget is a business-finance tool for self-employed adults and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
